A new tip

I recently read a piece of advice on an RV related forum.  It was a great tip, inexpensive to implement and might save a lot of "discomfort".  It was suggested that when hooking up a water supply hose at a campground, especially those with sewer connections at the campsites, the faucet should be sprayed with a disinfectant before attaching your water hose.  The last camper using that site may have used the faucet for attaching his gray water hose or to clean out his sewer hose or who knows what.  Lysol, etc. could do the trick but might leave a bad taste in the first bit of water.  Alcohol was a suggestion, but the general consensus was hydrogen peroxide was the answer.  It is tasteless and odorless and when mixed 50/50 with water is even used as a mouthwash and teeth whitener.

The next time we went shopping I returned with a quart of hydrogen peroxide and a quart spray bottle.
Betty, on the other hand, showed up with this little prize:

A handier size and the sprayer was included!  Now we can disinfect our water faucet and have some first aid supplies on hand...all in one convenient spray bottle.
